Arlecchino Vintage Oriental Kilim Hand Woven Rug

Arlecchino's costume had lots of patches sewn together, and this is where the harlequin pattern originated from.  During the Art Deco period, the pattern was famous and being used often for decorative arts.  Now we recognise the diamond design as stylised, but in this handwoven textural form of an oriental rug, it is a boldly expressive piece of art.  As effective as a wall hanging as it is a rug, this vintage kilim has been woven with a really special colour combination, just look at those unexpected pops of grass green! A great friend to many interior colour schemes :)
